Virat Kohli does Bihu dance for his fanboy and teammate Riyan Parag after taking catch in IND vs SL 2nd ODI

Riyan Parag was left out of the India playing eleven once again, but a Virat Kohli gesture for him went viral during the second ODI between India and Sri Lanka at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday, August 4.

The incident happened during the 27th over of the Sri Lanka innings when Virat Kohli took the catch of Sadeera Samarawickrama off Axar Patel's bowling. After completing the catch while backpedaling from covers, Kohli looked at Riyan Parag in the dugout before copying his 'Bihu Dance' celebration.

For the unversed, Riyan Parag, who hails from Assam, has done the 'Bihu Dance' celebration in the past in IPL matches. The celebrations went viral several times, and it is directly related to the 22-year-old now.

Also, the all-rounder is a self-proclaimed fan of Virat Kohli. He has often made posts showing his fandom towards the former India captain. Having been named in the ODI squad for the first time, Riyan Parag is living his dream of sharing the dressing room with his idol.

Virat Kohli made a comeback to action after a month-long break post India's T20 World Cup 2024 triumph on June 29 in Barbados. The 35-year-old announced his retirement from the format after winning the coveted trophy. Kohli scored 24 off 32 as the first match between India and Sri Lanka ended in a tie.

Riyan Parag was named in the India squad for the Sri Lanka tour after making his debut in Zimbabwe. The right-hand batter was mighty impressive with his spin bowling in the T20I, however he is yet to get an ODI game to play.
