Virat Kohli fights Hurricane Beryl to video call Anushka Sharma and show her visuals in Barbados

Virat Kohli, who is stuck with his teammates in Barbados, braved Hurricane Beryl to video call his wife Anushka Sharma and show the weather conditions in Barbados. The video of moment has gone viral on social media.

The 35-year-old is known for showing his love and affection to his actress wife Anushka. He is usually seen calling her from the ground right after the end of a match. The master batter had video called wife and kids moments after India defeated South Africa to win the T20 World Cup 2024 at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on Saturday, June 29.

The Men in Blue would have loved getting back home to heroes' welcome but Hurricane Beryl delayed the departure of the newly-crowned T20I champions. The airports were closed and players remained stuck in the team hotel.

Virat Kohli took the opportunity to video call Anushka Sharma from the hotel balcony facing the beach despite a very speed High wind and turbulent waves just metres away from him. Have a look at the video.

Team India to land in Delhi on Thursday morning

India cricket team's departure from Barbados has further been delayed and the T20 World Cup 2024 champions are now expected to land in Delhi around 5 AM on Thursday. The Indian cricket team was expected to leave Barbados on Tuesday evening.

As per the latest reports, the charter plane which will carry Team India directly to Delhi did not land in Barbados at the expected time, and thus the delay.

Players, coaches, support staff, family members and BCCI officials are now expected to leave Barbados around 2-3 AM on Wednesday (local time). The tentative arrival of the Men in Blue in Delhi could be between 4:00 AM to 6:00 AM on Thursday morning.

The chartered flight was expected to leave the Barbados shore on Tuesday evening (around 6:00 PM local time) and land in Delhi, India around 8:00 PM IST on Wednesday.

The departure was then delayed by almost five hours to 11:30 PM (local time). However, that could also not be possible because of the delayed arrival of the chartered flight in Barbados.
