The DDCA has already taken measures to accommodate the crowd at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, who will be filtering into the stadium in numbers to witness Kohli in action. The India player was seen in Delhi training on Tuesday, where he had a batting session and also took part in team training.

Delhi player Shivam Sharma has said in an exclusive chat with MyKhel that the India star is mingling with all the players so comfortably and his presence has added huge boost to the entire squad.

"He is getting along very well with everyone. He has kept everyone comfortable. With his presence in the team, the entire squad is very confident," Shivam said.

"There are many youngsters in our team who is meeting Virat bhai for the first time. And the way he is mingling is outstanding," he added.

Although Kohli is coming on the back of an underwhelming outing in the Border Gavaskar Trophy, Shivam is hopeful that Kohli will bring in a positive attitude in the team.

"I can't say anything about his performance. But yes, obviously, he is a world-class player. He looks like he is in good touch and everything. So, I think he will make good runs in this match," the Delhi player added.

Shivam, who is making a return to the Delhi team after three years, also says that he was confident of making a comeback this season.

"I was determined to perform and kept focusing on scoring runs with bat. I was not too much invested in selection but had thoughts of comeback in mind. You can't think too much on results and I didn't do that," he said.

The all-rounder played in the last match against Saurashtra and picked up 2 wickets. The 31-year-old has also played in the IPL with Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) and is set to be a key part of the team.

Shivam also heaped praises on Delhi's young captain Ayush Badoni, who has been leading the team for the first time.

"Ayush has been a top captain. The decisions he has taken in the field is very promising. This is just his first season and he will keep on maturing with the years. But whatever I have seen him is very promising," Shivam concluded.
