IPL 2023: Virat Kohli's ferocious batting in the net session ahead of the Royal Challengers Bangalore versus Mumbai Indians (RCB vs MI) match on Sunday, forced his teammates Faf du Plessis and Mohammed Siraj to run for safety. In a video posted by the RCB, Kohli can be slapping balls with utmost intensity.

RCB captain Faf du Plessis could just not focus on his interview near the boundary rope, continuously flinching after hearing the sound ball hitting Kohli's bat. "It's flying balls over," the 38-year-old South African can be heard saying while walking off the interview.

The end of the 47-second video shows Mohammed Siraj ducking to save himself from getting hit by the hammering from Kohli. Have a look at the video.

Kohli has joined the RCB camp fresh from trekking with wife Anushka Sharma and daughter Vamika. He took to his Instagram handle a couple of days ago and posted a picture with the caption, "Crossing all bridges of doubt and into love."

The former India and RCB captain has returned to form in all the formats of the game and is raring to prove his mettle again in the IPL 2023 season. The 34-year-old, who gave up his captaincy after the 2021 edition, is yet to win an IPL trophy.

RCB will kick off their campaign against five-time champions MI on Sunday at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday. The action will kick start from 7:30 PM IST. The side will be without their premier pacer Josh Hazlewood as he is yet to recover from his Achilles injury.

In the previous season, RCB qualified for the play-offs but lost their Qualifier 2 match against Rajasthan Royals (RR). Kohli scored 341 runs in 16 matches at an average of 22.73 and a strike rate of 115.98.
