Virat Kohli came close to clashing with spectators at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Friday, December 27. The incident occurred on Day 2 of the Boxing Day Test when Kohli was heading back to the pavilion after being dismissed by Scott Boland.
Fans were hoping for a significant innings from Indian cricket icon Virat Kohli, but he was dismissed for just 36 runs, extending his struggles in the IND vs AUS Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

As he was making his way back to the pavilion, it appeared that Kohli heard a comment from the crowd. He stopped, turned around, and confronted the audience, asking who had made the remark. Security quickly intervened to defuse the tension, escorting Kohli back to the dressing room.
The video of this heated moment has since gone viral online.
For those unaware, Kohli faced boos from the crowd as he walked out to bat after Tea, with local media targeting him ever since his arrival in Melbourne.
His actions on Day 1, where he made contact with Australian debutant Sam Konstas, also attracted criticism, with some Australian outlets labeling him a "clown." As a result of this incident, the ICC launched an investigation, deemed Kohli guilty of misconduct, and imposed a fine of 20 percent of his match fee.
"Virat Kohli has been fined 20 per cent of his match fee and awarded one demerit point for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct'', the ICC statement read.
On the field, Kohli and Yashasvi Jaiswal combined for a 102-run partnership for the third wicket. However, both were dismissed in a dramatic late collapse, leaving India at 164/5 after 46 overs at the end of Day 2. They now trail Australia by 310 runs in the Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Friday with a big task in hand as we head towards the end of the year.
