As the Delhi Premier League gears up for Season 2, two names from rich lineage are set to be up for auction.
The DPL 2025 auction will be on July 5, and a list of emerging players will be up for auction. A tournament which produced top talents such as Priyansh Arya, Digvesh Rathi and others, the DPL is ready for a bigger impact.

And amid this, two of India's stalwart batters will have their descendants in the DPL Season 2 auction. Virat Kohli and Virender Sehwag - both will have their close kins, who have registered for auction.
Virat Kohli's 15-year-old nephew and Virender Sehwag's sons- Aaryaveer and Aryavir, are set to be part of the DPL 2 auction, as reported by The Times of India.
Aaryaveer Kohli, son of Virat's elder brother Vikas Kohli, is currently training under Raj Kumar Sharma, the same coach who mentored Virat in his formative years. Aaryaveer has been making waves in the Delhi Under-16 circuit and will enter the DPL auction in Category C.
Meanwhile, Aryavir Sehwag, aged 17, has already made a name for himself in Delhi's Under-19 squad. He grabbed headlines after smashing a remarkable 297 against Meghalaya in the Cooch Behar Trophy-an innings that prompted Sehwag Sr. to quip on social media that his son had missed a Ferrari by 23 runs.
The DPL also confirmed that a closed-door auction held on June 28, which finalised the induction of two new franchises - Outer Delhi and New Delhi. With the new additions, the tournament has now grown to 8 teams for its second season. The other six teams of the tournament are - East Delhi Riders, North Delhi Strikers, West Delhi Lions, South Delhi Superstarz, Purani Dilli 6 and Central Delhi Kings.
Kohli and Sehwag both represented Delhi in domestic cricket apart their illustrious international career for India. In the IPL, Sehwag played and captained Delhi Daredevils, while Kohli only represented Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
