Virat Kohli loves tattoos as much as he loves chasing targets and cricket in general. Ahead of the IPL 2023 season, the former India cricketer has got a new tattoo inked on his forearm. The new tattoo actually covers his old tattoo.
Artist Sunny Bhanushali, who has designed the tattoo on a special demand from the star cricketer, in his blog has mentioned all the details related to the tattoo and the drills related to it. Bhanushali has also explained the meaning behind Kohli's new tattoo.

"Virat approached us a few years ago, he himself walked into our studio, and we were awestruck to see him at our studio. He approached me with photos of our tattoo work on his phone, telling me that he had been following us for over two years. I could hardly believe it - this cricket superstar was actually a fan of our work!," Bhanushali, the founder of Aliens Tattoo, has written.
He has revealed that the34-year-old wanted his old tattoo to be covered by a new tattoo which helps him reflect his spirituality. Kohli was left awestruck and thrilled Once the artist executed the design in seven days.
"Something that would represent the interconnectedness of all things and the source of creation itself, something which depicts higher ones and oneness, the structure of life, the source of all," Bhanushali has written explaining Kohli's expectation.
"Each element of the design holds a strong spiritual significance. The metatron cube is believed to be a sacred geometric symbol that contains all the shapes and patterns in the universe. The septagon represents perfection, harmony, and balance.
"The geometrical flower symbolizes the interconnectedness of all things, and the cubic pattern is a symbol of stability and structure. All of these elements come together in a beautiful and intricate design that is meant to inspire a sense of unity and connectedness with the universe.
"It is a powerful reminder that we are all part of something greater than ourselves and that we are all connected in a profound way," he wrote explaining the meaning behind Kohli's new tattoo.
Bhanushali has also revealed that it took 12 long hours to complete the immaculate artwork on the most famous cricketer in the world. The first session of six hours was executed in the Mumbai studio, while the next session of eight hours was held in Bengaluru.
Kohli is currently gearing up to play his team Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) first match of the IPL 2023 against five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) on Sunday.
