Virat Kohli came up with an early morning tweet on Saturday, August 12 to refute claims made by Hooper HQ over his earning from sponsored Instagram posts.
Hooper HQ has claimed that Virat Kohli is the 14th on the list of top earner's from Instagram. His per post earning of Rs 11.45 crore is third in the list among sportspersons after football stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
Refuting the viral report, the former India captain said that his reported earning from social media isn't true.

"While I am grateful and indebted to all that I’ve received in life, the news that has been making rounds about my social media earnings is not true," he wrote.
According to Hooper HQ, the 34-year-old superstar batter is ahead of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe who are occupying the 19th and 27th spots respectively
Other major celebrities who are behind Kohli are rapper and singer Nicki Minaj, American popstar Miley Cyrus, rapper Cardi B and Dua Lipa. The only other Indian in the top hundred is Priyanka Chopra who is ranking 29th. AB de Villiers is only the second cricketer in the list. The South Africa and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) legend is sitting on the 76th spot. Chopra and De Villiers charges Rs 4.40 crore and Rs 1 crore (approx) per sponsored post.
