'Mujhe Bohot Maara...': When Virat Kohli revealed why his sister beat him badly

India's batting stalwart Virat Kohli shared a story of his childhood, which has surfaced on social media recently.

Virat Kohli is a brilliant player who is regarded as one of the greats in the modern world. The Indian batter has broken many records and recently he became the first player to score 50 ODI centuries, surpassing the great Sachin Tendulkar.

Whenever Virat Kohli plays, his passion and aggression set him apart from other players. The Indian player has a certain aura and flamboyance which oozes at the cricket field.

But like every kid, Virat used to be a naughty one in his childhood. Kohli not only just used to do mischief, but he had a habit of speaking to everyone in a casual way. Generally, in Hindi, the younger calls the older either 'Aap' or 'Tum' to show respect, but Virat reveals that he used to call people 'Tu', which is an informal way of talking and sometimes regarded as an offensive way of speech.

A video has surfaced where Kohli tells Indian football team captain Sunil Chhetri how his elder sister beat him once for his aforementioned behaviour.

"Meri behen ne mujhe bohot maara hain, bohot maara hain. Main tu karke baat karta tha. Mereko aadat thi. Ekdin paata nahi kya ho gaya, pata naahi gussa chhar gaya didiko, aisa maara mujhe, 'Ta' nikalna hi bandh ho gaaya mooh se, 'Aa' nikalta tha, Aap kya kar rahe ho..."(My sister beat me a lot, a lot. I used to call people as 'Tu' and it was a habit. One day my elder sister got angry and she beat me so much that I stopped saying it and always used to talk in a more respected manner), Kohli shared this hilarious anecdote.

The Indian batter also revealed in that video that once he tore a 50 rupees note and threw it's pieces in the air to emulate the wedding processions, where money is thrown in the air to celebrate the occasion.

Kohli is currently on national duty and is playing the first Test between India and South Africa in Centurion. The India star scored 38 runs in the first innings and will be hoping to play a key part in the series.
