The connection between fans and cricketers is always very closely knitted, especially when it comes to India. Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and other modern-day stars are loved in an unadulterated way by the cricket lovers.
The fans often show their love with various placards, posters and write-ups. But ever seen a fan completely cracking down two of India's biggest cricket stars? Well, it happened in Sri Lanka during the 2nd ODI on Sunday.

The entire Indian team was about to step into the field for their bowling at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Arshdeep Singh were just at the edge of the boundary, waiting for their other teammates to join.
As Kohli was getting ready, a poster made by a fan caught his eye. The Indian batter pointed it out and suddenly called upon Rohit Sharma. As the India captain came into the ground, Kohli showed him the poster and the duo burst out into laughter. Along with Kohli and Rohit, Shreyas Iyer and Kuldeep Yadav were also in splits.
A fan uploaded a video of the Indian players laughing and then showed the exact reason for their hilarious reaction. It was nothing but a fan-made poster of the Indian team, but in an innovative way.
The poster involving Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and other players was edited and their faces were transposed into the poster of the movie 'Lagaan'. The fan put up Rohit Sharma as the captain and pasted his face as the leader, with the entire Indian team together pasted as the other characters of the film. The caption of the poster read, 'Modern Day Lagaan Warriors'.
'Lagaan' was a very popular movie starring Aamir Khan, which depicted the story of an Indian team consisting of local villagers beating an English team in cricket during the British Empire. It was a blockbuster not just for the patriotic message, but for its vivid representation of cricket in it as well.
Although it was a hilarious moment, India had a bad outing as they suffered their first team under the tutelage of head coach Gautam Gambhir. With one match to play, the Indian team will be aiming to restore parity as they play the Lankans on Wednesday (August 7).
