The 28-year-old Kohli, who is, by far, India's best batsman across all three formats at the moment, is set to play his 50th Test on Thursday. He made his Test debut against West Indies in June 2011 in Kingston (Jamaica). (Kohli eyes Azhar's record)

The opening Test between India and England ended in a draw in Rajkot on Sunday (November 13) and the teams are already in Visakhapatnam for the 2nd contest in the 5-match rubber.
Kohli, who already owns several records, will be the 28th player from India to play in 50 or more Tests. Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar leads the pack for the country and in the world, with 200 Test appearances.
In his 49 Tests so far, Kohli has accumulated 3,643 runs with 13 hundreds and 12 fifties. His highest score is 211. With his 50th Test in 2 days' time, Kohli will surpass Kiran More and EAS Prasanna, who both played in 49 matches each.
As a Test captain, Kohli has led the team to 10 victories from 18 matches. He is India's fourth most successful captain after Mahendra Singh Dhoni (27 wins), Sourav Ganguly (21) and Mohammad Azharuddin (14).
Thanks to Kohli, India escaped with a draw in Rajkot and will be hoping to take a lead in Visakhapatnam.
