Virat Kohli on Friday completed his 15 years in international and celebrated his India debut anniversary in style by uploading his iconic picture which was taken post his triumph against Pakistan at the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.
In the knock for ages, the batting maestro handed India one of their most iconic wins in the World Cup history. Pakistan bowlers were all over India when Kohli upped the ante in the 19th over to hammer two sixes of Haris Rauf. The one straight over Rauf's head got a status as high as Shane Warner's ball of the century.

India needed 28 off 8 balls and the two sixes brought down the equation to 16 off six. Despite Hardik Pandya getting out on the first ball of the 20th over, Kohli maintained his cool and hit a six off the third ball. India won the match on the final ball as Kohli with a tearful eye looked up in the sky to thanks the almighty.
The 34-year-old has shared the picture from the same moment. "Forever grateful," he has captioned the picture. The picture has received over 25 lakh likes in one hour.
"Kohli goes down the ground Kohli goes out of the ground still can’t forget these lines," a fan has commented recalling Harsha Bhogle's commentary during that famous six off Rauf.
Kohli made his debut for India with a one-day match against Sri Lanka on August 18 in Dambulla. He opened alongside Gautam Gambhir and scored 12 off 22 balls.
15 years later, the Delhi-born cricketer has become one the greatest ever batters to play the game. He has played over 500 matches for India, scored over 25,000 runs a hit 76 hundreds.
Interestingly, Kohli will be back in Sri Lanka at the end of August to feature in the Asia Cup 2023. India face Pakistan in their first match on September 2.
