Virat Kohli was instrumental on the field for Delhi upon his Ranji Trophy return. The India stalwart didn't score a lot of runs but was a vibrant presence for the team.
Kohli returned to the domestic circuit after more than 12 years and was an inevitable crowd-puller. The Arun Jaitley Stadium witnessed thousands of fans flocking into the stadium as Kohli was in action.

Delhi also showcased a brilliant performance, winning the match against Railways on the third day by an innings. In the second innings, Delhi bowler Shivam Sharma was instrumental and bamboozled the opponents. His excellent off-break saw him pick up five wickets, thus playing a key part in bundling out Railways cheaply.
And Shivam says Kohli was a key part in field-placing during the bowling. Speaking exclusively to MyKhel, the Delhi player shared his moments with the India stalwart on the field and how Kohli kept on giving him some important messages on the strategies.
"When I was bowling on the ground, Virat Bhaiya was telling us a few things.
He was giving inputs on field placement. He was telling us about the field positions very well. I think that helped a lot. He has a lot of experience in international cricket and he shared that with us. I was asking him a lot and he was always listening to us and giving us key inputs," Shivam told MyKhel.
Shivam has been making a return to domestic cricket after three years and the player says he is not thinking about the future.
"I don't think about my future. When I was working hard for the last 3-4 years, I didn't think about selection. I just wanted to keep training, bowling, preparing, playing matches, and performing. And I would do the same again," the Delhi all-rounder added.

Virat also went on and signed the match ball for Shivam Sharma. The India stalwart also penned a message saying 'Well Bowled' on the red ball itself. While Shivam cherishes the special message from Kohli, the player also expressed how much the entire unit enjoyed playing alongside Kohli.
"We enjoyed playing with him [Kohli] in this match. I don't know about the future -whether he will play or not is his decision. But it was a great memory. He played with good intensity. It wasn't like he was just playing. There was proper involvement[from Kohli] in the field," Shivam concluded.
