Star batter Virat Kohli has broken several records and gone past few milestones over the last few weeks during his outings for India in the ongoing Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai, UAE.
Kohli extended his record for most centuries in ODI cricket, and also crossed the milestone of 14,000 runs in the format during the ICC tournament, where he also toppled Australia great Ricky Ponting in second for most catches in One Day Internationals.

The 36-year-old, who has showcased his immense fitness over the years, also surpassed former Sri Lanka captain Kumar Sangakkara for a unique record of most singles run in ODIs since 2000. Kohli has now registered 5870 runs via singles in the format. Here is a look at the top 5 for that feat:
Kohli has now amassed 14180 runs in the format, including 51 centuries and 74 fifties in 289 innings at an average of 58.11. But did you know his singles along place in the top 10 run-getters of most teams in the ODI format?
With 5870 runs via singles, Kohli would be the third highest run-getter in the ODI format for England, while he also would make the top 10 of several other big teams including New Zealand, South Africa and Sri Lanka.
Kohli's tally of singles in ODI cricket alone would see the Indian stalwart as the seventh highest run-scorer in the format for New Zealand and West Indies, eight highest for South Africa and the tenth highest for Sri Lanka.
In a team like Bangladesh also, Kohli's singles tally pits him in fourth place for most runs in the format. The veteran batter also goes past Steve Smith's overall tally of runs in ODI cricket with only his singles scored in the format.
