Pune, Feb 16 (UNI) Vishay Components' A&B teams, Reflexsis and Convergys today moved into the pre-quarterfinals of the third edition of ''Howszzzat Corporate Cricket Tournament'' at Wakad on the Mumbai-Pune Highway.

The tournament was organised by the Indian Institute of e-business Management (IIeBM) in association with Mirchandani Group, in aid of Concern India Foundation, at the IIeBM's complex.

In the closest match of the day, Reflexsis scored an exciting 8-run victory over Pyramid Mega Stores.

Batting first, Reflexsis scored 80 runs in 8 overs, while Pyramid team could only muster 72 runs in 8 overs.

In another match, Convergys put out Hotel Pride team by 12 runs, while Vishay 'A' team scored a 31-run victory over Starent Network and its 'B' team scored a 21-run win over Suzlon 'B' team.

Suzlon, Airtel, Suma Soft and Syntel also made it to the last eight stage yesterday.

The results: Starent Network scored 32 runs in 8 overs (Saumitra Deshpande 12, Pawan Gupta 11, Sachin Sankpal 2-1, Rohidas Sulekar 2-7) lost to Vishay Components 'A' - 61 runs in 8 overs (Sachin Sankpal 21, Nilesh Jadhav 16, Waman Kulkarni 2-6, Anupam Goyal 1-5).

Suzlon Energy 'B' made 35 runs in 8 overs (Sachin Kamble 19, Samir Shishe 10, Balu Menon 2-23 Sagar Chaudari 3-4) lost to Vishay Components 'B' - 56 runs in 8 overs (Jayesh Sonawane 21, Milind Joshi 22, Rahul Pathak 2-9, Akash Chavan 2-24).

Reflexsis struck 80 runs in 8 overs (Avdhut More 19, Vivek Jaiswal 17, Mukund Mali 22, Nilesh Jadhav 2-15, Javed Shiekh 2-10) defeated Pyramid Megastores - 72 runs in 8 overs (Yadan Parekh 24, Swapnil Ambedkar 22, Vivek Jaiswal 2-7, Nilesh Bihani 3-16).

Convergys scored 24 runs in 8 overs (Sushil Agarwal 14, Walter M 12) beat Hotel Pride Executive - 12 runs in 8 overs (Vikas Kadam 9, Sibhi Thomas 8-4).
