Sri Lanka skipper Wanindu Hasaranga joined the T20I 100 wickets club on Monday (February 19) during the 72-run victory over Afghanistan in the second T20I at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla.
Hasaranga, who finished with figures of 2/19 in his four overs, went on to become the eleventh bowler overall and the second Sri Lankan to take 100 wickets in T20 internationals.

With 101 wickets in 63 T20Is at an average of 15.36 and an economy rate of 6.78, Hasaranga also became the second quickest to reach the milestone after Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan. Here is a look at the quickest in terms of matches to reach 100 wickets:

While he has just reached the milestone of 100 wickets in the format, Hasaranga has more wickets than any other bowler in men's T20Is since his debut in 2019.
Coming back to the match, Sri Lanka rode on Sadeera Samarwickrama's 51 and Angelo Mathews' 22-ball unbeaten 42 to set a target of 188 before Mathews rounded off his player of the match performance with figures of 2 for 9, sealing the series 2-0.
