Fresh Injury Worry for India as Washington Sundar Pulls Up Mid-Match
India suffered an injury setback during the third ODI against England after all-rounder Washington Sundar was ruled out of bowling in the second innings due to a suspected right hamstring injury.
Washington sustained the injury while batting in India's innings at Cardiff, leaving the visitors a bowler short as they defended a target of 233 in the series decider.

How did Washington Sundar get injured?
Washington came to the crease at No. 6 following Virat Kohli's dismissal and looked comfortable before pulling up while completing a run in the 33rd over.
The all-rounder immediately appeared to clutch his right hamstring and required treatment from the team physio.
After receiving lengthy on-field attention and having his right thigh heavily strapped, Washington resumed batting. However, he was dismissed on the very next delivery after edging a short ball from Saqib Mahmood to wicketkeeper Jos Buttler.
Washington Sundar does not take the field
Concerns over the severity of the injury grew at the start of England's chase when Washington did not return to the field.
Instead, Arshdeep Singh came out as India's substitute fielder.
During the broadcast, it was confirmed that Washington had been ruled out of bowling for the remainder of the match, leaving India without one of their frontline spin options.
What the Washington Sundar injury means for India
Washington's absence handed India a significant tactical challenge in the second innings.
The off-spinner has been a key part of India's middle-overs plans throughout the series, and his inability to bowl forced captain Shubman Gill to reshuffle his bowling resources while defending a below-par total.
India had earlier posted 233, with England chasing victory to clinch the three-match ODI series.
The BCCI is yet to provide an official update on the extent of Washington Sundar's injury or his availability for upcoming fixtures.
