Former India batter Wasim Jaffer has trolled former England captain Michael Vaughan during one of their social media banters.
Wasim Jaffer and Michael Vaughan are known for their battles on social media, where they often engage in war of words. Even in the past, Vaughan and Jaffer have trolled India and England respectively on many occasions.

And this time, Vaughan was the one who started it. India had a dismal outing in the ODI series against Sri Lanka, where they lost the series 2-0 at the island country. Despite having players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul in the squad, India succumbed to spin bowling of the Lankans and surrendered in the 50-over format.
Wasim Jaffer started a question and answer on his official X profile with the fans, where Vaughan asked him about the recent result. He took note of the performance and tried to troll Wasim Jaffer. He asked Jaffer about the series result pretending he didn't get time to keep himself updated on the proceedings.
"Hi Wasim..What was the recent ODI series result in Sri Lanka? I have been away and missed it..Hope all is well," Vaughan wrote to Jaffer.
The Indian batter came back in sublime fashion though. He took the question well and replied in an emphatic fashion. Jaffer gave the reference of England's Ashes wins on Australian soil, where they haven't won a single match in the last decade or so.
"I'll put it in Ashes terms for you Michael. Ind won as many games in that series as the Tests Eng have won in Aus in last 12 years," Jaffer replied.
It hasn't been a good start for India though in the 50-over format under the new coach Gautam Gambhir. Despite winning the T20 series comfortably, the Indian team will be keen on producing a better result in the upcoming assignments ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy next year.
Speaking of Wasim Jaffer, the former India batter has become the coach of the Punjab ranji team for the upcoming season.
