WATCH: Avesh Khan owns RCB fans for booing him during Duleep Trophy match at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Bengaluru

By MyKhel Staff

The star-studded Duleep Trophy 2024 match between India A and India B at the MA Chidambaram Stadium has given the opportunity to fans to swarm in the stadium and cheer for their favourite stars, and also boo a few.

While local boy KL Rahul, who is representing India A, was welcomed with chants of 'RCB captain, KL Rahul', former Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) was booed while he was fielding at the boundary ropes.

Chants of RCB kicked off as soon as Avesh Khan came to field at the boundary line. The booing was triggered by the sharp memories of the RCB fans. Notably, Avesh Khan had rolled out a wild celebration by throwing the helmet after hitting the winning runs for LSG against RCB in Match 15 of IPL 2023 at the same venue.

The video of Avesh Khan's celebration had gone viral. RCB star Virat Kohli had smirked at the celebration, and went on to avenge the defeat and the celebration in the reverse fixture. A huge on-field scuffle had also broken out between Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq, and the Kohli and then LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir in the second game of the season between the two teams at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

The sight of Avesh Khan brought the memory rushing in the minds of the RCB fans, and they wasted no opportunity to get under the skin of the pacer.

However, Avesh Khan showed an ice-cool attitude by pointing towards his ear and signalling the crowd to increase the decibel level of their RCB chants. He then had a sip of water, and focused back on the game. Here's the video.

Avesh Khan, who plays for Rajasthan Royals (RR) now, picked three wickets across the two innings in his first Duleep Trophy 2024 outing. He picked the wickets of India B captain Abhimanyu Easwaran in the first innings, and dismissed Sarfaraz Khan in both the innings. He bowled only six overs in the second innings. The 27-year-old Madhya Pradesh has been hoping to make his Test debut for India for a while now.
