In good news for Bangladesh and Pakistan, Bangladesh' A team landed in Islamabad in Pakistan amid a severe political crisis in their country. Bangladesh A were supposed to leave for Pakistan on August 6, but the unprecedented political event in the country, led to a four-day delay.
Sheikh Hasina had to flee the country and resign as Bangladesh PM as thousands of protesters barged into her house and committed acts of vandalism and loot. Videos of Hindu minorities being attacked in Bangladesh also surfaced on social media.

Several BCB directors, including president Nazmul Hassan, were also forced to leave Bangladesh as they were backed by Sheikh Hasina's party Awami League.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) earlier released a statement saying that the departure was delayed by "at least 48 hours". When the team did not leave on August 8, the series stood a serious chance of being postponed or cancelled completely.
However, against all the odds Bangladesh have managed to send their A team for the tour which will consist of two four-day matches, and three unofficial ODI matches.
"Bangladesh A team has arrived in Islamabad to compete in two Four-Day matches and three ODIs against Pakistan A," Bangladesh Cricket posted alongside a video of players coming out of the airport.
The arrival of Bangladesh A team has also given a massive boost to the upcoming senior Bangladesh team's tour of Pakistan for two Test matches. Once the crisis emerged in Bangladesh, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) also offered to host Bangladesh players for extra days and provide all necessary training facilities in the lead up to the series.
An interim government led by Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus has been formed in Bangladesh. His cabinet of 17 people began work on Friday. 25-year-old Asif Mahmud, a linguistic graduate, has taken charge of the sports ministry.
Senior Bangladesh cricket team is scheduled to leave for Pakistan on August 17. The first Test of the series is slated to take place from August 21-25 in Rawalpindi. while Karachi will host the second Test from August 30 to September 3.
