Shah Rukh Khan came up with a tight hug for Gautam Gambhir after he met him for the first time after his appointment as head coach of the Indian cricket team. The Bollywood star and the co-owner of Shah Rukh Khan, met his most 'revered knight' at the wedding ceremony of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.
In a video which has gone viral, Shah Rukh Khan can be seen giving Gambhir a long hug while praising and congratulating him on his new role. Notably, Gautam Gambhir mentored the KKR team which won their third IPL title earlier this year.

Gautam Gambhir was the captain of KKR when they won their previous two titles in 2012 and 2014. Gambhir gave up his mentorship role at Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and joined KKR just ahead of the IPL 2024. The emotional home-coming of Gambhir was followed by a thunderous speech in which the former India cricketer appealed to the players to give their best and prepare for the mega final.
KKR walked the talk under Gautam Gambhir, and dominated all the nine teams to lift their third title, and first since 2014. Gambhir could have stayed with the lucrative job, but instead chose to take the tough and taxing job of associating himself with the Indian team, and be on the roads, away from his family round the year.
Gautam Gambhir's stint as the head coach of the Indian cricket team will start from India's tour of Sri Lanka starting July 27. India are scheduled to play three T20Is and as many ODIs in the island nation.
