Samit Dravid might just have been bought for Rs 50,000 in Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2024, but the range of shots he showcased against Gulbarga Mystics gave a perfect teaser of the million-dollar talent he possesses at the age of 18.

The right-hander's 33-run knock off 24 balls consisted of four boundaries and a six. Each one of them had class written all over it. Samit Dravid latched on a full length delivery to play a beautiful straight drive, he pulled a short delivery almost in fashion similar to Australian great Ricky Ponting, and the teenager then also played an inside-out shot for a six.

His partnership with Mysuru Warriors captain Karun Nair accounted for 83 runs off 49 balls, and helped the team post 196/8 in 20 overs. However, Gulbarga ended up chasing the target on the final ball of the game, and won by three wickets.

Samit Dravid scored seven runs each in his first two outings in the Maharaja T20 Trophy. Fans have lauded the player for the clarity in his intent and shot selections.

"I am sure that he will make his way to Team India," a fan commented on a video of Samit Dravid posted by Star Sports.

Mysuru Warriors are currently placed fourth in the six-team points table of Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2024. They won their first match against Shivamogga Lions by seven runs (VJD Method), before losing their next two games against Bengaluru Blasters and Mysore Warriors. They will be playing against Mangalore Dragons on Monday, August 19.
