Watson confident of making to Oz squad for T20 World Cup

By Super Admin

Sydney, May 10 (ANI): Australian all rounder Shane Watson is confident that despite his latest groin injury he would make it to the team for the World Twenty20 cricket championship scheduled to begin from June 5 in England.

Watson, who sustained an injury during the Twenty20 match against Pakistan in Dubai last week, said there was nothing serious as it was a minor injury.

"My groin is pretty good, it's only a very minor sort of strain," Watson said.

He said there was two to three weeks time before the tournament starts and by that time he would be all right.

"We've got a couple or three weeks or so before the first practice match, so it should be plenty of time to get it right," The Age quoted Watson, as saying.

Watson is also keen to get into his bowling strides as soon as possible.

"I'm still so excited about improvements that are going to be in my bowling with little technical changes that I've made. I can't wait to be able to get out there in the next couple of weeks," he said. (ANI)
