Shreyanka Patil and Radha Yadav are among the 16 Indian players who have joined Harmanpreet Kaur, Deepti Sharma and Jemimah Rodrigues to nominate themselves for the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) 10 draft, scheduled to be held on Sunday (September 1).
Harmanpreet, Deepti and Jemimah were among the first nominees revealed for the WBBL|10 Draft, which could see 162 players up for selection from overseas players list, including India and Pakistan.

While 19 players from India have nominated themselves for the draft, star opener Smriti Mandhan has already found a new home in WBBL, having been roped in by Adelaide Strikers as the pre-draft signing.
Shreyanka, who has been on the rise in the last two years since announcing her arrival at Women's Premier League, has nominated her name in the Women's Big Bash draft for the first time alongside several other Indian cricketers.
The talented spin-bowling all-rounder won the purple cap and the emerging player of the tournament awards earlier this year at WPL 2024. She is also the first women's cricketer from the country to feature in Women's Caribbean Premier League.
Now, she will be joined by the likes of Radha Yadav, Asha Sobhana, Sneh Rana and several other Indian players hoping to land a spot in one of the WBBL teams during the draft process. Here is a look at the Indian players in the list of nominees for the WBBL draft:
Among the 19 players, Harmanpreet, who played for Melbourne Renegades in the last season, is the only Indian eligible for retention at the draft process alongside seven other overseas players.
Players in the draft are categorized into Platinum, Gold, Silver, or Bronze tiers, with clubs required to select at least two players from these categories. Those with pre-draft agreements will be allocated picks based on their salary bands. The WBBL season will run from October 27 to December 1.
