WBBL 2023 final is upon us as it's down to two teams now after 56 league stage matches and the two playoff matches contested over the last month and a half across venues in Australia.
Women's Big Bash League has reached it's ninth season and is labelled WBBL09. The WBBL featured eight city-based franchises, branded identically to the men's Big Bash League (BBL).

The rules for the ninth season were like the previous the two seasons, which saw the table topper after the round robin matches earn a direct entry into the WBBL final, while the other spot was decided by two playoff matches played by teams ranked 2nd to 4th.
In the playoff round, the 2nd ranked team enters the Challenger Final, where they face the winner of the Eliminator between teams ranked 3rd and 4th. The winner of the Challenger Final then faces the top ranked team in the title clash.
Now, ahead of Women's Big Bash Season 9 Final, here is a look at some important information regarding the WBBL 2023 title clash which will round of the ongoing seaon in the weekend like dates, teams and squads:
Defending champions Adelaide Strikers, who landed their first title last season, became the first team to book their spot in the season 9 final as they finished the season as table-toppers with 22 points, six more than any other side on the WBBL points table.
The Strikers, who reached their third successive final and their fourth title clash in five seasons, will meet former champions either Brisbane Heat or Perth Scorchers in the title clash.
Third-placed Brisbane Heat, the season 4 and 5 champions, defeated Sydney Thunder by 44 runs in the Eliminator to book their Challenger Final meeting with second-placed Perth Scorchers, who lifted the title in season 7.
The second finalist of Women's Big Bash League season 9 was confirmed on Wednesday (November 29) when Heat beat the Scorchers by 67 runs in Challenger Final at the WACA in Perth.
The WBBL 2023 final is scheduled to take place at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide on Saturday (December 2) at 7:10 PM AEDT. In India, the match start time is at 1:40 PM IST due to the time difference.
