WC 2015: West Indies squad announced, Jason Holder to lead

St. John's (Antigua), Jan 12: West Indies on Sunday (January 11) announced their 15-man squad for the ICC World Cup to be held in Australia and New Zealand in February and March. The side will be captained by Jason Holder, who was the captain for the ODI series against South Africa, while Marlon Samuels has been appointed Holder's deputy.( )

Former captain Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard were left out from the squad while off-spinner Sunil Narine, who was reported twice for suspect bowling action during the Champions League T20 (CLT20) in India last year, was included.

WC 2015: West Indies squad announced, Jason Holder to lead

West Indies will play their opening World Cup match on February 16 against Ireland before going on to face Pool B rivals, defending champions India, South Africa, Pakistan, Zimbabwe and the United Arab Emirates.

The West Indies team will also play two warm-up games against England and Scotland on February 9 and 12 respectively.
