The World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025 is the tournament's second edition, bringing together former international cricket stars who continue to excite cricket fans worldwide. The event began on July 18, 2025, featuring 18 group stage matches across several iconic venues in England, including Edgbaston, Northampton, Leicestershire, and Leeds.

Pakistan Champions dominated the group stage, topping the points table with four wins and one no-result from five matches. India Champions faced a tougher challenge, qualifying for the semifinals as the fourth-placed team based on net run rate, with only one win, three losses, and one no-result.

A major off-field issue arose when the India vs Pakistan group stage match was cancelled. Several Indian players opted out, citing political tensions following the Pahalgam attack, which has led to uncertainty about their semifinal clash. Despite the controversy and some sponsors withdrawing support, the tournament organizers currently intend for this highly charged semifinal to take place.

Australia, South Africa, India and Pakistan have progressed to the semis, while England and West Indies got knocked out from the group stages.
