WCL 2025: The World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025 is nearing its knockout phase, but for the India Champions, the defending champions, it has been a tournament to forget so far. With just one match left to play in the group stage, Yuvraj Singh's men find themselves languishing at the bottom of the table - without a single win from four games.
Despite their disappointing run, all hope is not lost. Remarkably, India can still qualify for the semifinals. But the path ahead is anything but easy.

India Champions have played four matches and managed to collect just one point, courtesy of a washed-out game against Pakistan. They suffered defeats to Australia, South Africa, and most recently to England - who beat them by 23 runs.
With only one group-stage match remaining - against the West Indies on July 29 - India will need a victory to stay in contention. But even that won't be enough.
Three teams - Australia, South Africa, and Pakistan - have already sealed their spots in the semifinals. That leaves just one place up for grabs, with India, West Indies, and England in the running.
England have completed their group-stage matches, finishing with three points and a net run rate (NRR) of -0.809. India currently sit on one point, with a dismal NRR of -1.852. West Indies are ahead of India on points and still have a game to play.
For India to qualify:
1) They must beat the West Indies, levelling with England at three points.
2) But more importantly, they need a huge win - enough to boost their NRR past England's.
With the qualification chances hanging by a thread, India's only option is a dominant, almost flawless performance in their final match. A massive win over the West Indies could script one of the most dramatic turnarounds in WCL 2025. The road to the semifinals is narrow - but it's still open.
