The World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025 has experienced a major disruption when the highly anticipated semifinal between India Champions and Pakistan Champions was cancelled. India's team refused to play against Pakistan, citing ongoing political tensions following the Pahalgam terror attack earlier in 2025.

This followed a similar boycott during the group stage where India had also refused to face Pakistan, leading to that match's cancellation as well. Because of India's withdrawal, the semifinal match scheduled for July 31 at Edgbaston was called off, and the Pakistan Champions were awarded the win.

Pakistan Champions had dominated the group stage, finishing top with four wins and one no-result out of five matches. India Champions qualified for the semifinals as the fourth-placed team, with one win, three losses, and one no-result. Other semifinalists include South Africa and Australia, while England and West Indies were eliminated in the group stages.

1st Semifinal: Pakistan Champions vs India Champions

This match is set for 5:00 PM IST. It's highly anticipated given the off-field tensions and the cancelled league stage encounter, adding extra drama to the contest.

2nd Semifinal: South Africa Champions vs Australia Champions

This fixture will also be held at Edgbaston and will start from 9:00 PM IST.
