We have 1.2 billion people, I don't care about Ian Healy: Virat Kohli

Hitting back at former Australian wicketkeeper Ian Healy for his 'losing respect' remark India captain Virat Kohli said his (Healy) views don't matter to him.

Bengaluru, March 7: India's captain Virat Kohli today (March 7) hit back at former Australian wicketkeeper Ian Healy making it clear that his views don't matter to him.

Yesterday (March 6), Healy had said he was "losing respect" for Kohli due to his sledging of Australians in the ongoing 4-Test series.

On Tuesday, India defeated Australia by 75 runs in the 2nd Test at Bengaluru's M Chinnaswamy Stadium to level the rubber 1-1.

In the post-match press conference, Kohli's reaction was sought about Healy's comments. And the Delhi right-hander said India had 1.2 billion people liking him and Healy's opinion did not matter. (Kohli fumes as Smith tries to cheat with DRS)

"We have got 1.2 billion people in India. One person doesn't make a difference to my life," the 28-year-old Kohli said.

Kohli also asked journalists to search on Youtube about Healy's behaviour in a match at Centurion (South Africa).

"And also you should search on Youtube when he was given out in Centurion, down the legside. I heard he said something about me not having a good behaviour with the umpire, I think you all should Youtube that video. You see that video and next time ask me the same question," he added.

Healy, one of the greatest wicketkeepers of all time, played for Australia in 119 Tests.

"The pressure is starting to tell on (Kohli). I'm losing respect for him. He's got to be a lot more respectful of his opponents. The stuff he did with Steve Smith was unacceptable," Healy had told an Australian radio station.
