India captain Rohit Sharma was not a happy man at the post-match presentation after the shocking tie against Sri Lanka.
The first of the three-match ODI series was a stalemate in Colombo as India failed to score one run with two wickets in hand.

Shivam Dube and Arshdeep Singh both fell to Sri Lanka captain Charith Asalanka, who pulled off a superb tie out of nowhere in the match, inflicting India's 10th tie in ODIs. A moderate target of 231 runs couldn't be scored which had players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli in it.
After the match, Rohit was disappointed with the batting performance and said the team should have chased down the total. The India captain also said the team lacked batting consistency and only showed their quality in patches.
"The scores are gettable, it's just that you have to bat well to get that score. We batted well in patches. There was no consistent momentum through the game for us. We started really well with the bat but we knew the game will start after 10 overs once the spinners come in to bowl. We had the upper hand to start with, then we lost a couple of wickets and fell behind the game. In the end, little disappointing, 14 balls, 1 run to get," Rohit said at the post-match presentation.
Rohit also confirmed that both teams had assistance with the ball in the first 25 overs, but admitted the batting got easier as the seam wore off. He also stressed that the Indian team should have got that solitary run to win the match, depicting the importance of composure in crunch situations.
"It's not where you can just come and play your shots and get runs. You have to apply yourself and dig in really well to get that score. Proud of the way how we fought till the end. The game shifted towards both teams at different times. It was important to hold the nerve and stay in the game. We should have got that one run," the India captain concluded.
The Indian boys will have a chance to make a prompt comeback as they face the Lankans in the 2nd ODI on Sunday (August 4).
