India and West Indies lock horns in the first Test which starts today (July 13) at the Windsor Park in Dominica.

India and West Indies both will kickstart their opening assignment of the WTC 2023-25 cycle. The two-match Test series will be followed with 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is.

India play at the same venue for the first time in 12 years, since they played in 2011. On the eve of the match, India captain Rohit Sharma announced the inclusion of youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal in the playing XI, while Shubman Gill has now been slotted as the no. 3 batter.

The weather in Roseau, Dominica is around 28º C with a real feel a bit higher. The sky is expected to remain clear and there is no prediction of any rain today (July 12). A gentle breeze of around 20-25 km/h is expected across the ground and it promises to be an ideal day for Test cricket.

The pitch is expected to be decent for batting and it may slow down and spin as the match progresses.
