Two-time champions West Indies and South Africa lock horns in a virtual quarter-final when the two sides meet in the tenth match of the Super Eights of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua & Barbuda on Sunday (June 23).
Rovman Powell-led West Indies head into the match on the back of a thumping 9-wicket win over USA that brought them back into the semi-final conversation. The co-hosts restricted USA to 128 before chasing the target down inside 11 overs to add big boost to their Net Run Rate (NRR).

Meanwhile, Aiden Markram’s South Africa pulled off a 7-run victory from jaws of defeat against England, but stare at elimination despite winning 2 matches in the Super 8 stage. South Africa defended 163 against England, but the latter can still go through to the last 4 from Group 2.
Both West Indies and South Africa will hope England falter against USA in the other Super 8 match from Group 2 as the three teams battle for the two semi-final spots.
