West Indies vs Uganda Playing 11, T20 World Cup 2024: West Indies will take on Uganda in a group stage match of the T20 World Cup 2024 on Sunday (June 9). The Group C match is set to be played at the Providence Stadium in Guyana.
West Indies have started with a victory as they saw off Papua New Guinea in the first match. Uganda were beaten by Afghanistan in the first match but then secured their first victory of the T20 World Cup as they defeated Papua New Guinea.

Both teams are without any injuries at the moment. West Indies will be hoping to play with a strong squad, whereas Uganda may also stick with the same team.
The co-hosts West Indies may be tempted to make a change and someone like Shimron Hetmyer can come in to replace Sherfane Rutherford. Their bowling has been strengthened with the arrival of Andre Russell who was the best bowler against PNG. Also, the emergence of Roston Chase as an all-rounder has served them pretty decently as well.
Uganda almost made a meal of the chase against PNG and could score 78 runs only after losing 7 wickets. Their captain Brian Masaba will be hoping for a better outing from the team as they face the mighty West Indies. Riazat Ali Shah and Alpesh Ramjani will have to step up with the bat whereas bowlers will have to replicate the disciplined approach from the last match.
