Rajasthan Royals (RR) are playing the Pink Promise Match against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Saturday, April 6. Rajasthan Royals (RR) players donned a special all-pink matchday kit in the match.

The #PinkPromise match is aimed to show Rajasthan Royals' support to the women of Rajasthan. "Driven by its Foundation's vision of 'Aurat Hai Toh Bharat Hai', the Royals are making a #PinkPromise to create replicable models of women-led transformation which can be implemented at a larger scale across the country," Rajasthan Royals said in its website.

Rajasthan Royals' Pink Promise is a purposeful initiative by the franchise to to amplify the team’s support to the inspirational and empowered women from rural India.

Why will Rajasthan Royals play Pink Promise match vs RCB?

"To ensure the continuity of its impactful on-ground initiatives, the Royals will donate ₹100 for women-led rural transformation in Rajasthan on every ticket purchased for this match. Earlier, the Royals had also announced that all proceeds from the sale of each all-pink Royals jersey will go to its social equity arm - the Royal Rajasthan Foundation," Rajasthan Royals have announced.

In addition, for every six hit in the match by both teams, Rajasthan Royals and the Royal Rajasthan Foundation will light up six homes in the Sambhar region with solar power.

Sanju Samson and his boy to wear all-pink matchday kits

The Sanju Samson-led team will be donning a special all-pink matchday kit. The colour pink signifies the spirit of Rajasthan which symbolises resilience, grace, and the power of women.

By donning this vibrant hue, the franchise is proudly celebrating the indomitable spirit of Rajasthan's women, emphasising their pivotal role in driving social change and progress."

The jerseys have names of some women beneficiaries of the initiative engraved into the design. These women have emerged as local heroes by contributing to the significant shift towards the usage of solar energy and water conservation, with each emblazoned name telling a story of courage, perseverance, and triumph over adversity.
