What MS Dhoni Did for a Security Guard Shows Why Fans Admire Him

Former celebrity bodyguard Yaseen Khan has shared a heartfelt anecdote about MS Dhoni, recalling a simple gesture that left one of his team members deeply emotional.

Speaking about his experience working with cricketers, Khan highlighted Dhoni's humility and the way he treats people around him, describing an incident where the former India captain personally celebrated a staff member's birthday.

According to The Indian Express, Khan revealed that Dhoni arranged a cake to mark the special occasion, a gesture that made a lasting impact on the staff member.

'MS Dhoni is extremely humble,' recalls former bodyguard

Khan, who has worked with several high-profile cricketers over the years, spoke about Dhoni's personality and his interactions with those working behind the scenes.

"MS Dhoni is such a humble and kind person. The team members who work with him are treated very well. Recently, he celebrated the birthday of someone from my team - he brought a cake and everything," Khan said, as quoted by The Indian Express.

He added that the moment was deeply emotional for the staff member.

"That person became so emotional that he started crying. People long to just see or touch such personalities, and when they sit with you, put a hand on your shoulder and celebrate your birthday - it means a lot for a common man," he recalled.

Experience with top cricketers shaped his perspective

Khan, who previously served as actor Shah Rukh Khan's personal bodyguard for over a decade, now runs a Mumbai-based security firm. Through his work, he has interacted with several prominent cricketers including MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul and Abhishek Sharma.

Reflecting on his experiences, he noted that many cricketers come from grounded backgrounds, which often shapes their behaviour off the field.

"Most cricketers come from middle-class or lower middle-class families. Very few come from rich backgrounds. When you spend time with them, the environment becomes very normal and simple," Khan said during the conversation, as reported by The Indian Express.

A small gesture that reflects Dhoni's personality

Dhoni has long been known for his calm demeanour and understated leadership style, both on and off the field. Khan's recollection adds another example to the many stories that highlight the former India captain's reputation for humility.

The simple act of celebrating a team member's birthday may seem small, but for those working behind the scenes, such gestures often carry significant meaning.

For many fans, anecdotes like this reinforce why Dhoni continues to command deep respect - not only as a cricketer, but as a person who values the people around him.
