Who are the men's and women's nominees for ICC Emerging Cricketer of the Year 2023? International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday (December 3) revealed their nominations for both men's and women's categories of the ICC Emerging Cricketer of the Year 2023.
Among men, Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal is also in the nomination list. "A pair of exciting fast bowlers and two classy left-hand batters are in the running for ICC Men's Emerging Cricketer of the Year honours for 2023," ICC said in an official statement.

New Zealand's left-handed opener Rachin Ravindra, South Africa's pacer Gerald Coetzee and Sri Lanka pacer Dilshan Madushanka are the other contenders in the turn for the ICC Emerging Cricketer of the Year 2023.
The nominations for the ICC Women's Emgering Cricketer of the Year Award 2023 are Bangladesh's Marufa Akter, England's Lauren Bell, Scotland's Darcey Carter and Australia's Phoebe Litchfield.
The year 2023 held great promise for young players hoping to establish themselves for India, and with his impressive knocks against elite teams, 22-year-old Jaiswal seized nearly every chance that presented itself.
When Yashasvi Jaiswal made his Test debut in the Caribbean in July, he went on to win Player of the Match honours and score a century while opening the batting in Dominica. In the second Test of the trip, he contributed 57 and 38, with the half-century coming in an opening partnership of 139 with Rohit Sharma.
Yashasvi Jaiswal made his T20I debut during the same trip, and although he struggled in his opening game, he responded with an innings of 84* off just 51 balls. He got an even hundred (49) against Nepal at the Asian Games in Hangzhou.
He then hit half-centuries (53 from 25 balls) and 60 from 41 balls against Australia and South Africa. Before 2023, Ravindra represented his country in two previous forms, but it was in the ODI format-where he made his debut in March-that he truly shined.
With a 49-ball century against Sri Lanka, he demonstrated early potential. He also made a contribution with the ball, taking three wickets away from home against Pakistan and England.
