He also became the first Indian to score 500-plus runs in this edition. Rassie van der Dussen scored his highest score (133) at an ICC World Cup while becoming the fourth South African to be among the top 10 highest run scorers, along with De Kock, Aiden Markram, and Heinrich Klaasen.

For Sri Lanka, Pathum Nissanka (46), Kusal Mendis (39) and Sadeera Samarawickrama (36) added some runs to their total with the latest also becoming the only Lankan batter to score 331 runs. Nissanka is not too far behind at 289 runs.

Tomorrow (November 3), Netherlands vs Afghanistan will be in action with in-form Afghan top-order looking to add further runs to their tally after match-winning efforts in the last two games.
