Who is highest run-scorer in ICC World Cup 2023? Top 10 batters as on October 28

The ICC World Cup 2023 round-robin stages are now moving towards its final stages while the favourites for the semifinal spots are emerging stronger. The batters, of course, are playing big hands in that as race for the highest-run scorer or the Golden Bat is intensifying.

The match on Saturday morning, Australia vs New Zealand, saw four of the batters in the Golden bat race (David Warner, Rachin Ravindra, Daryl Mitchell and Devon Conway) in action. We take a look at how their performances affected our Top 10 list of 'Who is the highest run scorer of ICC World Cup 2023?'

Australia vs New Zealand is not the only match taking place on Saturday as Netherlands vs Bangladesh is taking place at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. No serious competitor for the Golden Bat is competing in the game with the closest contender is at Dutch captain Scott Edwards, who took his aggregate to 208 runs with a knock of 68 in the game after choosing to bat first.

Former Bangladesh captain and lower-order batter Mahmadullah, who is expected to bat in the second innings, has 198 runs from 5 games and scored a century against South Africa in a losing cause. Both Bangladesh and Netherlands are also virtually out of the semifinal race while another loss will be the final nail in the coffin.

Meanwhile, all eyes will be on the India vs England match on Sunday as the unbeaten hosts take on the defending champions at the Ekana Sports Complex in Lucknow. Virat Kohli (354) and Rohit Sharma (311) will resume an intra-team battle for the Golden bat.

England batters, whose batters have failed to click this ICC World Cup 2023 and were humiliated in their last game by Sri Lanka, will look to revive their chances of retaining the title with four matches left to play.
