The ICC World Cup 2023 saw two of the heavyweights of world cricket, India vs England, collide as hosts India look to continue their winning run while facing the defending champions in Lucknow. Quite a few batters were in action, who are in run for the Highest run scorer at the tournament.

Earlier on Saturday in the Australia vs New Zealand match saw runs galore as over 750 runs were scored in what was a high-scoring thriller. Travis Head (109) Rachin Ravindra (116), David Warner (81), Daryl Mitchell (54) scored a good amount of runs to move ahead in the Golden Bat race.

The other game of the evening saw Scott Edwards hit another memorable half-century (68) to become the first Dutch batter to score 200 runs this ICC World Cup 2023. Bangladesh's batting continued to disappoint as they were all out for 142 while chasing a paltry total of 230 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

England batters, meanwhile, are having an unforgettable ICC World Cup 2023 with their key names such as Joe Root, Ben Stokes struggling to score runs. Dawid Malan is their highest run aggregator so far at 220 runs followed by Root at 175. Apart from them, none of the English batters have scored 150 or more.

Among other Indian batters, KL Rahul is the third-highest Indian run-scorer with 216 runs followed by Shreyas Iyer (134) and Shubman Gill (104).
