Who is the highest wicket-taker in World Cup 2023: The race for the Most wicket-takers will continue in ICC World Cup 2023 on Monday as Afghanistan and Sri Lanka face off in the round-robin stages at the MCA International Stadium in Pune.

While the likes of Rashid Khan and Maheesh Theekshana are in action among star spin bowlers for the game, it's Dashun Madhushanka whose fine wicket-taking show at the ICC World Cup 2023, will present him an opportunity to go top of the table. Earlier on Sunday, Mohammed Shami stole the limelight with a four-wicket spell that broke the backbone of English batting. He was aptly supported by Jasprit Bumrah, who finished with a spell of 3/32 and put themselves second in the chase for the Most wickets at the ICC World Cup 2023 behind Adam Zampa, who has 16 wickets.

In the first innings, David Willey's and Chris Woakes's stupendous bowling efforts saw the Indian top order struggle as the pacers took three and two wickets each to stop the Indian innings at 229/8 in 50 overs. Spinners Adil Rashid chipped in with a couple of wickets as well.

On Tuesday (October 31), two more sub-continent nations will be in action as Pakistan and Bangladesh will square off at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata as the Bangla Tigers will be hoping for a home-like atmosphere as fans will be travelling from the Bangladesh border not too far away.
