Lucknow Super Giants have handed an IPL debut to Himmat Singh in their IPL 2025 match against Gujarat Titans on Saturday (April 12).
Himmat has replaced Australian batter Mitchell Marsh, who is not playing due to personal reasons. Rishabh Pant mentioned at the toss that Marsh is unavailable due to his daughter's illness.

Himmat Singh, born on November 8, 1996, in Delhi, is a right-handed batter and occasional right-arm off-break bowler who has emerged as a steady presence in India's domestic cricket circuit. Known for his composure under pressure and leadership capabilities, Himmat has represented Delhi across all formats with growing success.
Himmat began his domestic journey with a List A debut during the 2015-16 season and made his first-class debut in 2017. Since then, he has played 33 first-class matches, accumulating 1,738 runs at an average nearing 37. His highest score in red-ball cricket stands at 194 - an innings that underlined both temperament and technique. In List A cricket, he has been even more consistent, scoring 1,858 runs in 55 matches with an impressive average over 47, including six centuries and a best of 132 not out.
