Another cricket festival is around the corner as the IPL 2024 is kicking off from Friday (March 22). Chennai Super Kings are up against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the opening match of the season at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
The two teams possess two gladiators of Indian cricket as MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli will be playing for the respective teams, the first time both not as captains.

Before the start of the first match, the IPL 2024 Opening Ceremony was another glittering event which entertained the crowd at the stadium. Legendary playback singer Sonu Nigam, Music Director AR Rahman, superstar Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff were present in the opening ceremony.
Although the opening ceremony was a grand one, the anchor for the opening ceremony also gained a lot of attention. There was a change in the anchor lineup and the voice behind the Opening Ceremony was not liked by the netizens at all.
Soon after the opening ceremony, people vented their disappointment and anger over the anchor, whose name is Shefali Bagga. Shefali Bagga is an Indian TV anchor and journalist. She was born on July 1, 1994 in Delhi and has been an anchor and presenter on national television. This is her first taste of IPL, but Bagga recently anchored in the Legends Cricket Trophy in Sri Lanka. She was also a contestant in the reality TV show Big Boss in year 2019.
