Royal Challengers Bengaluru have roped in England pacer Lauren Bell in the WPL 2026 mega auction on Thursday (November 27).

RCB Women went on to pay Rs 90 lakh in the auction, thus making her their most expensive signing so far in the auction.

Who is Lauren Bell?

Lauren Bell, born on January 2, 2001, in Swindon, England, is an English cricketer known primarily for her right-arm fast-medium bowling. She currently plays for Hampshire and Southern Brave in domestic cricket and has represented England at international level since June 2022. Bell was an early cricketing talent, making her Women's County Championship debut for Berkshire at the age of 14. She later played for Middlesex on loan and was an integral part of Southern Vipers and Southern Brave in major domestic competitions, including The Hundred.​

Lauren Bell made her international debut for England in a Test match against South Africa in June 2022, followed quickly by her ODI debut in July 2022. She has been highly regarded for her ability to swing the ball both ways and generate pace, making her a key bowler in England's lineup. One of her career highlights includes her maiden five-wicket haul in a WODI against New Zealand in July 2024. Bell was also a standout performer in the 2023 Women's Ashes series, finishing as England's second leading wicket-taker.​
