Lucknow Super Giants pacer Mayank Yadav has made a superb start to his career. The pacer was handed his debut against Punjab Kings on Saturday (March 30).
During the match, Mayank Yadav bowled the fastest ball of the IPL 2024 as he clocked 155.8 kph with the first ball of the 12th over. He also got his maiden IPL wicket on debut as Jonny Bairstow fell in his bowling. He troubled Shikhar Dhawan and also picked up the wicket of Prabhsimran Singh. Mayank ended up getting Jitesh Sharma as well and his spell ended with 3 for 27 in four overs.

Mayank Yadav is a cricketer who plays for Delhi in the domestic circuit. Mayank Yadav is 21 years old and was born on June 17, 2002. He has played in all formats for Delhi and is regarded as a promising pacer. Yadav was bought for Rs 20 lakh by Lucknow Super Giants.
He picked up 12 wickets in the Deodhar Trophy recently and was a part of the LSG squad back in 2022. But in 2023, an injury forced Mayank out and Arpit Guleria replaced him. But he was reinstated to the LSG squad as they bought him in the auction again for this edition.
