Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a 13-year-old adolescent is likely to be picked up in the India U-19 squad for the upcoming U19 Asia Cup.
At such a tender age, the young cricketer from Bihar is set for this massive opportunity in the upcoming continental tournament, which will be hosted in UAE in a couple of weeks.

MyKhel understands that Suryavanshi, who recently became the youngest player to score a youth Test century against Australia U-19, is set to be in the India U19 team.
Suryavanshi's historic innings of 104 runs off just 62 balls in Chennai, at the youthful age of 13 years and 187 days, broke the previous record held by Bangladesh's Test captain Najmul Hossain Shanto. Furthermore, his performance surpassed that of Pakistan's Babar Azam in terms of the youngest age at which a century was scored in Youth ODI cricket.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi is a young Indian cricketer from Bihar. He was born on March 27, 2011, a few days ago India's historic World Cup win under MS Dhoni. He was born at the Tajpur village in Bihar's Samastipur district.
His love for cricket is rooted from his father, who significantly influenced and initially coached him and supported his early career by driving him to Patna for better training opportunities. Under the mentorship of local coaches Manas Jha and Robin Singh, Suryavanshi honed his skills further. His dedication to his state was evident when he dismissed rumours of switching allegiances.
"My father used to play cricket but he could not reach this level. So his dream was that his son should become a cricketer," Suryavanshi said in an interview with ESPNCricinfo.
There have been offers for the young kid to switch states amid the doldrums of Bihar cricket, but the Suryavanshi is playing for Bihar in the Ranji Trophy and is committed to his home state. His recent outing against Madhya Pradesh saw him score 41 runs in the second innings of the match. Although Bihar lost the match by 108 runs, the young player garnered a lot of accolades for his display. He played a fluent knock of 41 in just 43 balls, hitting 6 fours and a six in the process.
Despite his tender age, Suryavanshi has shown poise and maturity. In a recent interview with ESPNCricinfo, the player even asserted that he had no pressure while scoring his record-breaking century.
"I was not under any pressure during my record-breaking innings and was merely playing my natural game," Suryavanshi said.
The youngster idolizes Brian Lara, but has been influenced by former India batter Wasim Jaffer.
Vaibhav is now likely to represent India in the U19 in the limited-overs format. The U19 Asia Cup is set to start from November 29. India U19 are in the same group with Pakistan, UAE and Japan. Despite his age, Suryavanshi has excellent qualities and temperament, which are likely to propel him towards greater success.
