IPL 2023: Vivrant Sharma made the opportunity county and blasted 69 runs off 47 balls - the highest by an Indian in IPL history - in his side Sunrisers Hyderabad's (SRH) dead-rubber last league match against Mumbai Indians (MI) on Sunday.
Coming to open the innings alongside Mayank Agarwal, Vivrant blasted nine fours and two sixes to create panic in the Mumbai Indians camp. SRH are already out of the IPL 2023 playoffs race. MI, on the other hand, need to win their last match to stand a chance to qualify.

MI will wish for RCB to lose their match against Gujarat Titans (GT) later today (May 21) in the last league match of the season. MI would need to beat SRH by 82 runs or chase 200 with balls to spare to get past RCB's Net Run Rate (NRR).
Therefore not only a win but NRR will also play a massive role for the side. Mumbai Indians took the field with an aim to put SRH under the pump but the new opening pair marred their plans completely.
Mayank scored 83 off 46 but it was Vivrant's knock which stole the show. The duo stitched together a 140-run stand from just 83 balls and laid a solid platform for the rest of the batters. SRH fumbled towards the end but managed to post 200/5 courtesy Mayank and Vivran't knock.
