MS Dhoni is known as 'Captain Cool' on the field has amazed people with his cricketing skills and decision-making, but his lifestyle off the field is equally fascinating. Recently, Sam Billings, who was part of the Chennai Super Kings, made a shocking revelation regarding Dhoni.
The English batsman revealed that MSD had a fondness for smoking shisha (hookah). During the IPL, special arrangements were made to ensure that he could relax after matches. Billings further revealed that Dhoni would even appoint a 'shisha man' to look after it. Describing Dhoni as a "cool" person, Billings also said that the former captain would usually keep his hotel room open.

"He (Dhoni) leaves his hotel room open, and he has this little "shisha man" in his entourage who looks after the shisha. His sole job is to look after the shisha. Khaleel Ahmed," Billings said while speaking on the Stick to Cricket podcast.
This is not the first time claims have surfaced about MS Dhoni indulging in shisha, with former India cricketers Irfan Pathan and Manoj Tiwary having previously alluded to it as well. Sam Billings also spoke about the immense popularity surrounding Dhoni, noting that his stature often makes it difficult for him to step out of the hotel due to the constant attention from fans.
In another light-hearted revelation, Sam Billings shared that MS Dhoni is a fan of Manchester United, adding that the two often spent time watching football matches together.
"What a lovely guy, considering how much stardom he has. He's a superstar. Obviously, a Manchester United fan, like myself. We've watched quite a few games together because he can't leave the hotel or go downstairs to the bar," Billings said.
"I think just in terms of his captaincy, his aura, it's fantastic. He's incredibly calm and genuinely cool. There aren't many cool people. You don't meet many cool people these days. But he is," the Englishman added.
Billings and Dhoni were teammates at Chennai Super Kings during the 2018 and 2019 IPL seasons. The franchise clinched the title in 2018 under Dhoni's leadership and followed it up with a runner-up finish the next year.
Dhoni, now at the age of 44, is set to feature in his 17th IPL season with CSK in 2026.
