The Big Bash League Season 14 concluded with a magnificent final between Sydney Thunder and Hobart Hurricanes, taking place at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart.
The Hobart Hurricanes and Sydney Thunder were the fitting team after a fantastic season. Nathan Ellis captained the Hurricanes while Australia legend David Warner captained the Thunders.

Hobart Hurricanes won the BBL 2025 Final as they won the match by 7 wickets, with 35 deliveries to spare.
Sydney Thunder scored 182 for 7 after batting first in the Final. Jason Sangha scored 67 off 42 runs while captain Warner scored 48. For the Hurricanes, Nathan Ellis and Riley Meredith got three wickets each.
Mitchell Owen was the standout performer for the Hurricanes, delivering an exceptional knock with a 39-ball century, which was the fastest in a BBL final, matching the record for the fastest in BBL history. His aggressive batting included 6 fours and 11 sixes, setting the tone for the chase. Owen scored 108 off just 42 deliveries and helped his team immensely. Matthew Wade chipped in with an unbeaten 32 as the Hurricanes won with ease.

Mitchell Owen was the Player of the Match for his brilliant batting in the Final. The young Tasmanian scored the joint-fastest century in the history of BBL, and also hit 11 sixes, the most by a player in a BBL final.
"It is an amazing feeling, lost for words. Super grateful to all the fans and thank you very much. I was just doing what I was enjoying throughout the whole tournament, luckily it came off tonight as well," Owen said at the post-match presentation.
