In Yesterday's ICC World Cup 2023 Match, it was hosts India who locked horns against Bangladesh at the MCA Stadium in Pune.
It was a superb encounter between the two sides but team India ended up winning the match comfortably by 7 wickets, with more than eight overs to spare. India's batting giant Virat Kohli scored an unbeaten century, thus marking his 48th ODI ton in process.

It was a decent start for Bangladesh with the bat though, as they stitched a 93-run opening partnership. But after Tanzid Hasan's wicket, it was a middle-order collapse for the Tigers. Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah picked up two wickets each as Bangladesh could manage 256 for 8 at the end of their 50 overs.
In reply, Indian openers gave the hosts a perfect start. Rohit Sharma (48 off 40) and Shubman Gill (53 off 55) gave them the platform, and Virat Kohli consolidated it in his royal style. The Indian batters feasted on the Bangladeshi bowlers, who were missing their talisman Shakib Al Hasan due to injury.
Kohli scored an unbeaten 103 off 97 balls and was helped by Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul in the run chase. India reached their target with 51 balls to spare and now sit 2nd in the points table with four victories out of four matches.

India batter Virat Kohli scored an unbeaten 103 of fjust 97 balls. He hit 6 fours and 4 sixes in his breathtaking inning, also hitting the winning run in the process.

Four bowlers across the two teams picked up two wickets each. Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammad Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah of India and Mehidy Hasan Miraz of Bangladesh got a brace in the match. But it was Jadeja who had the best economy (3.8 runs per over) among the four bowlers.
